We may also use advertising and subscription providers (for example via Apple App Store / Google Play billing and ad networks). These providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6) Data retention and deletion
Dayjavoo is designed to give users full control over their personal memories and content.
Users remain in control of their memories at all times. Deleted content cannot be restored once permanently removed.
User content retention
Journal entries, photos, videos, attachments, comments, messages, collections, and other user-generated content are stored only for as long as necessary to provide the Dayjavoo service.
When a user deletes content or deletes a collection:
- The content is removed from active systems and scheduled for permanent deletion.
- Permanent deletion typically occurs within 24 hours of the deletion request.
Account deletion
You can delete your account by following the steps on our Delete Account page.
When a user deletes their Dayjavoo account:
- Personal content associated with the account is permanently deleted from active systems without undue delay.
- Certain limited technical records may be retained where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, billing reconciliation, or security purposes.
Backup and residual copies
To maintain system reliability and disaster recovery capabilities, encrypted backup copies of data may temporarily persist after deletion from active systems.
These backup copies are automatically overwritten or permanently deleted within a limited retention period consistent with industry security practices.
Backup data is not used for any operational or user-facing purpose.
Legal retention requirements
Dayjavoo may retain limited information when required to:
- comply with legal obligations
- resolve disputes
- enforce agreements
- prevent fraud or abuse
- comply with valid law enforcement requests
Such retained information is limited to the minimum necessary and does not include continued use of deleted journal content.
Analytics and technical logs
Crash reports, diagnostic logs, and aggregated analytics data may be retained for a limited period to improve app performance, reliability, and security.
Where possible, such data is anonymised or aggregated.
7) Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Children’s privacy
Dayjavoo is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9) International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. We take steps to protect your data when it is transferred.
