Getting started
Create your account
Create a Dayjavoo account using the sign-up screen. You may be asked to verify your email address before using all features.
Sign up button
Creates a new Dayjavoo account.
Login button
Signs you in to an existing Dayjavoo account.
Forgot password button
Sends a password reset email to help you recover access to your account.
Remember Email
The Remember Email option can help keep your email available on the login screen so it is easier to sign in again.
Calendar screen
Calendar overview
The calendar screen is where you view your memories by date. You can move between months, select a day, and see entries saved for that day.
Today button
Takes you back to today’s date.
Jump to Date button
Opens a date picker so you can quickly move to a specific day, month, or year.
Month / week view
Lets you switch between a larger monthly calendar view and a smaller weekly view.
Add entry button
Starts a new journal entry for the selected date.
Collections
What collections are
Collections help you organize memories. You can create separate collections for family, children, holidays, events, private memories, or shared spaces.
Collection dropdown
Lets you choose which collection you are currently viewing.
Add Collection button
Creates a new collection under your account.
Delete Collection button
Starts the delete process for a collection. You may be asked to confirm before deletion is scheduled.
Collection members
You can invite other people to a collection and choose what role they should have.
Invite member button
Sends an invitation to another user.
Manage members button
Lets you review members, roles, and permissions for the collection.
Journal entries
Create a journal entry
A journal entry is a memory saved to a specific date. You can add a title, description, location, photos, videos, or files depending on your account and permissions.
Title field
Used to name the memory or moment.
Description field
Used to write the details of what happened on that date.
Save button
Saves the journal entry to your selected collection and date.
Cancel button
Leaves the entry screen without saving new changes.
Edit a journal entry
Editing allows you to update the text, location, date, or attachments of an existing entry, depending on your permissions.
Edit button
Opens the entry so changes can be made.
Delete button
Deletes the journal entry if your role and permissions allow it.
Attachments
Photos, videos, and files
Attachments let you keep photos, videos, documents, and other files with the memory they belong to.
Add attachment button
Lets you choose files or media from your device.
Remove attachment button
Removes a selected attachment from the journal entry if you have permission.
Open attachment
Opens the file or media so you can view it in more detail.
Notifications
Enable Dayjavoo notifications
Notifications help you receive important updates, such as invitations or collection activity.
Enable button
Asks your device for permission to allow Dayjavoo notifications.
Not now button
Dismisses the notification prompt so you can decide later.
Exports
Export collections
Exports let you create a downloadable copy of collection data and attachments.
Export button
Starts the export process for the selected collection.
Download export button
Downloads the export file once it is ready.
Account settings
Profile and account
Account settings help you manage your profile, sign-in details, notifications, and account actions.
Edit profile button
Lets you update your display name, bio, or profile photo.
Logout button
Signs you out on the current device.
Logout of all devices button
Signs your account out from all active sessions where supported.
Delete account button
Starts the account deletion process.
Troubleshooting
I cannot log in
Check your email and password, confirm your internet connection, and try the password reset option.
I cannot upload an attachment
Check your internet connection, file size, account storage, and whether your account has permission to add attachments.
I cannot see a shared collection
Make sure the invitation was accepted and that you are signed in with the correct account.
